This tariff subheading applies specifically to beet-derived raw sugar entered pursuant to quota provisions set by the Secretary of Agriculture. It excludes refined sugar or products with added flavoring or coloring.
Polariscope 99.7° Beet Raw Sugar
Solid raw sugar extracted from sugar beets with a dry-state sucrose polarimeter reading of 99.7 degrees, qualifying as chemically near-pure sucrose under GN15 provisions. Entered only pursuant to General Note 15 quota limits for raw beet sugar. Used primarily for further refining in industrial sugar production.
