High-Strength Cold-Rolled Annealed Steel Coil for Automotive Panels from Mexico
Flat-rolled high-strength steel coil, cold-rolled to 0.7 mm thickness and 800 mm width, annealed for improved formability. Classified under HTS 7209.17.00.45 as nonalloy high-strength steel (yield point ≥275 MPa for <3 mm thickness), in coils, not further worked beyond cold-rolling and annealing. Used primarily for outer body panels in vehicles requiring strength and ductility.

Import Tips
• Certify minimum yield strength of 275 MPa at entry with mill test reports to qualify as high-strength steel per US notes
• Ensure precise thickness measurement (0.5-1 mm) and annealing documentation to prevent reclassification to thinner gauges
• Verify no cladding, plating, or coatings; even minor surface treatments trigger 'further worked' exclusion
