A non-explosive plastic tube filled with reactive powder that transmits a low-energy shock wave to initiate detonators remotely. Though technically a signal tube, it's used interchangeably with safety fuses in mining under HTS 3603.10.00.00. Provides minimum run-up distance with high reliability.
