Fresh or chilled Trachurus japonicus, commonly known as Japanese jack mackerel, is a pelagic fish caught in Pacific waters, imported whole for markets. Classified under HTS 0302.45.5000 as 'other' jack and horse mackerel, it excludes fillets (0304) and applies only to fresh/chilled whole fish. Popular in sushi and grilling preparations.
