Tallow Fatty Acids (Beef Origin) from United States
Tallow fatty acids are a mixture of saturated acyclic monocarboxylic acids, primarily palmitic and stearic acid, obtained from beef tallow hydrolysis. They are not separate chemically defined compounds but may be a mixture of isomers of the same compound under Chapter 29 Note 1(b). They are used in soap manufacturing.
