Unmelted Titanium Chips from China

Unmelted titanium chips are irregular fragments from machining high-purity titanium, considered unwrought due to lack of melting or forming into standard shapes. Under HTS 8108.20.00.95 as 'other' unwrought titanium, excluding scrap, for remelting into ingots. Common in recycling streams for medical-grade titanium.

Import Tips

Chemical analysis reports essential to prove purity above scrap thresholds per Chapter 81 alloy notes

Segregate from waste/scrap to prevent down-classification; maintain chain-of-custody records
