Titanium Alloy Ingots Grade 5 from China

Grade 5 titanium alloy ingots (Ti-6Al-4V) are unwrought titanium blocks containing 6% aluminum and 4% vanadium, melted via vacuum arc remelting for high-strength applications. They fall under HTS 8108.20.0030 as unwrought titanium ingots, provided the titanium content dominates over other elements. Widely used in aircraft engines and implants due to superior strength-to-weight ratio.

Import Tips

Submit detailed alloy composition reports; if non-titanium elements exceed titanium by weight, it shifts to the base metal chapter of the dominant element

Classify based on end-use documentation if ambiguous, but ingots remain unwrought unless machined or rolled

Comply with USITC titanium import quotas if applicable; declare INCO terms clearly to assign proper valuation
