Cobalt Master Alloy Ingots for Superalloys from China
Unwrought cobalt-based master alloy ingots (Co-Cr-W) used in turbine blade production, with cobalt as predominant metal. HTS 8105.20.60.00 applies as 'other' unwrought cobalt per Chapter 81 alloy note (cobalt >99% or > any other element). These are not pure cobalt but intermediate products of cobalt metallurgy.

Import Tips
• Submit detailed chemical analysis showing cobalt dominance to meet Chapter 81 alloy definitions
• Avoid common error of classifying as nickel alloys (8112) if cobalt content prevails
• Obtain end-use statements for aerospace buyers to support duty drawback claims
