Products classified under HTS 7901.12.10.00
Casting-Grade Zinc Ingots
High-purity zinc ingots specifically refined for casting applications, containing less than 99.99% zinc by weight and not alloyed. These ingots are melted and poured into molds to produce die-cast parts for automotive and consumer goods. Classified under HTS 7901.12.10.00 as unwrought, non-alloyed zinc of casting grade.
Die-Casting Zinc Billets
Cylindrical zinc billets of casting grade, less than 99.99% pure and non-alloyed, designed for melting in hot-chamber die casting machines. Used primarily for producing zinc alloy components after further processing. Fits HTS 7901.12.10.00 for unwrought casting-grade zinc.
Zinc Casting Pigs
Pig-shaped castings of zinc for remelting in casting operations, non-alloyed with zinc content under 99.99% by weight. These are unwrought forms supplied to metal casters for producing intricate parts. HTS 7901.12.10.00 applies to this specific casting-grade purity.
Foundry Zinc Slabs
Rectangular slabs of casting-grade zinc, non-alloyed and <99.99% zinc, used by foundries for melting into casting pots. Ideal for gravity and low-pressure casting processes. Correctly classified as unwrought zinc under HTS 7901.12.10.00.
Secondary Casting Zinc
Recycled secondary zinc of casting grade, containing less than 99.99% zinc and free of alloying elements, supplied in ingot form for casting applications. Produced from scrap melting and refining. HTS 7901.12.10.00 covers this unwrought non-alloyed purity level.
