Nickel-Plated Brass Magnet Wire from China
Brass alloy wire (low nickel <5%) with nickel plating for use in high-temperature electromagnetic coils and motors. HTS 7408.29.10.00 applies to this coated 'other' copper alloy wire, as the base meets brass definition despite nickel plating. Provides improved heat and wear resistance.

Import Tips
• Distinguish base alloy nickel (<5%) from plating; provide spectrographic analysis to prevent confusion with nickel silver
• For magnet wire, confirm not insulated—insulation shifts to Chapter 85
• Document end-use for motor imports; sets with magnets may require different classification
