Cold-Rolled Seamless Steel DOM Tubing from Germany
Drawn Over Mandrel (DOM) tubing is a cold-rolled seamless mechanical tube of nonalloy steel, typically 1.5-inch OD x 0.12-inch wall, used in automotive shock absorbers and machinery shafts. Classified under HTS 7304.31.60.50 for its cold-formed circular cross section and seamless nonalloy steel construction. The DOM process provides superior concentricity and surface finish.

Import Tips
• Provide DOM process certification; distinguishes from welded ERW tubing under 7306
• Measure cross-section dimensions—must be circular and under relevant limits for Chapter 73
• Avoid declaring as 'shock absorber tube' to prevent shift to 8708.80 parts classification
