D2 Tool Steel Round Bar from Japan

A round bar made from D2 tool steel, an air-hardening, high-carbon, high-chromium alloy steel meeting the HTS definition for tool steel with more than 1.2% carbon and more than 10.5% chromium. Used primarily for making cutting tools, dies, and punches due to its excellent wear resistance and dimensional stability. Classified under 7228.60.10 as a bar or rod of tool steel (other than high-speed steel).
