SAE 1215 Free-Cutting Steel Round Bar from Japan
Hot-rolled round bars made from SAE 1215 carbon steel, a leaded free-cutting variant designed for superior machinability. Classified under HTS 7214.30.00 as other bars and rods of nonalloy free-cutting steel, not further worked beyond hot-rolling. The sulfur and lead content enhances chip-breaking during machining.
