Hot-drawn rod of Summit Steel's 1215LQ free-cutting type with ≥0.1% lead, designed for high-volume production of bushings and fittings. HTS 7214.30.00.10 applies to these nonalloy steel rods as free-cutting with lead, not further worked. Lead inclusions promote superior machinability over standard carbon steels.
