Tin Free Steel (TFS) Chromium Coated Alternative from Japan
Thin (<0.5 mm) nonalloy steel sheets, ≥600 mm wide, with electrolytic chromium coating as tin-free steel (TFS) for can ends. While often under other codes, basic TFS can align with 7210.12 if declared as tin-plated equivalent; primarily metallic coated per hierarchy. Used where tin migration is concern.

Import Tips
• Differentiate TFS (Cr-coated) from true tinplate in docs; misdeclaration risks penalties
• Provide spectral analysis confirming nonalloy status and coating type (Cr vs Sn)
