Porous palladium sponge produced by precipitation and reduction, a semimanufactured intermediate form before pressing into ingots. Classified under HTS 7110.29.00.00 as 'other' palladium, not qualifying as powder per subheading note (less than 90% through 0.5mm sieve). Commonly used in chemical catalysis and hydrogen purification.
