High-Alumina Refractory Firebrick from Mexico
High-alumina refractory firebricks are ceramic bricks composed primarily of alumina, fired at high temperatures to withstand extreme heat above 1500°C. They are used in furnace linings and kilns for their excellent thermal shock resistance and corrosion resistance. Classified under HTS 6902.90.50 as refractory ceramic constructional goods other than siliceous fossil meals, due to their fired ceramic composition for high-temperature industrial applications.

Import Tips
• Verify firing temperature exceeds 800°C and provide manufacturer specs confirming refractory properties to avoid exclusion from Chapter 69
• Include test reports on thermal conductivity and chemical composition to support classification as 'other' refractory bricks
