High-Alumina Refractory Firebrick from Canada
A dense refractory brick containing over 70% alumina (Al2O3) and silica (SiO2), fired after shaping to withstand temperatures exceeding 1700°C. Used primarily in furnace linings and kilns for its high thermal resistance and mechanical strength. Classifies under HTS 6902.20.50.20 as a refractory ceramic constructional good with more than 50% alumina-silica content, not of siliceous fossil meals.

Import Tips
• Verify chemical composition certificate showing >50% Al2O3/SiO2 to confirm classification and avoid reclassification to lower-duty codes
• Ensure firing temperature documentation exceeds 800°C as per Chapter 69 notes to distinguish from non-refractory ceramics
