Cedar Fence Palings from Mexico
Pointed cedar palings roughly trimmed from nonconiferous wood, used as vertical slats in privacy fences. These are not turned, bent, or sawn lengthwise, maintaining a natural split-pole appearance ideal for rustic fencing. HTS 4404.20.00.40 covers these as nonconiferous fence palings.

Import Tips
• Provide detailed invoices specifying 'rough pointed palings' to distinguish from finished lumber and secure correct duty
• Check for kiln-drying certificates; excessive processing could shift classification to dried sawn wood
• Avoid bundling with hardware; sets may trigger essential character rules under other headings
