WW Grade Wood Rosin from Japan

WW grade wood rosin is extracted from pine stumps via solvent extraction, yielding high-purity resin acids standardized by color and acid number. It is widely used in printing inks and adhesives. HTS 3806.10.00 covers it as 'rosin and resin acids' regardless of wood extraction method.

Import Tips

Provide extraction method documentation to distinguish from gum rosin; both qualify but affect quality claims

Test acid number (160-170 mg KOH/g) to confirm classification; lower values may shift to derivatives

Avoid bulk packaging confusion with run gums (3806.90), which include impurities
