Oakmoss absolute, solvent-extracted from oak lichen, provides an earthy, leathery base note in chypre perfumes. Under HTS 3301.90.50.00 as 'other' absolutes, it's regulated due to atranol allergens. Sold pure to fragrance houses for compounding.
