Surgicel is oxidized regenerated cellulose fabric, sterile and absorbable, applied topically to control capillary, venous, and small arterial bleeding during surgery. It liquefies and is absorbed within 1-2 weeks. Classified in HTS 3006.10.01.00 as sterile absorbable surgical hemostatics.
