Phthalic Hydrazide from China
Phthalic hydrazide, also known as luminol precursor, is a cyclic hydrazide derivative of phthalic acid used in chemiluminescence reagents. Under HTS 2942.00.35.00 as other aromatic organic compounds, its fused ring system with nitrogen functions places it in this residual provision. Excluded from earlier hydrazine headings due to aromatic modification.

Import Tips
• Provide reaction synthesis pathway documentation showing derivation from aromatic acids
• Confirm not put up as analytical reagent kit (Chapter 38.22) vs pure compound
