Desonide is a fluorinated, low-potency corticosteroid (11β,16α,17,21-tetrahydroxypregna-1,4-diene-3,20-dione 17-butyrate 21-acetate) derived from adrenal cortical hormones. Qualifies for HTS 2937.22.00.00 as halogenated derivative used primarily for topical hormonal therapy.
