Zinc Diethyldithiocarbamate (ZDEC) from China

ZDEC is a dithiocarbamate accelerator used principally in rubber vulcanization to speed up the curing process with sulfur. As a thiocarbamate/dithiocarbamate compound under heading 2930.20, it falls into 2930.20.90.20 when primarily used in rubber processing rather than general applications. It provides excellent fast vulcanization properties for natural and synthetic rubbers.

Import Tips

Provide technical data sheets confirming principal use in rubber processing to justify 2930.20.90.20 classification over general dithiocarbamates

Include Safety Data Sheets (SDS) documenting purity and impurities per Chapter 29 note (a) for chemically defined organic compounds

Verify packaging meets Chapter 29 note (e) requirements if dissolved in solvents for safe transport without rendering suitable for specific non-rubber uses
