Valeronitrile (CH3(CH2)3CN), or pentanenitrile, is an aliphatic nitrile used in fatty acid derivative synthesis and as a chemical intermediate. Classified HTS 2926.90.50 as other acyclic nitrile-function compounds meeting purity standards of Chapter 29 note (a).
