Food Grade Sodium Gluconate USP from Germany
Pharmaceutical/food grade sodium gluconate meets USP standards for use as a sequestrant in beverages and nutritional supplements. As the sodium salt of gluconic acid, it qualifies under 2918.16.50.10 for carboxylic acids with alcohol function. Chapter 29 applies to pure compounds regardless of food use, excluding mixtures.
