Salicylic acid (2-hydroxybenzoic acid) is an aromatic monocarboxylic acid specifically described in additional U.S. note 3 to section VI, imported under HTS 2916.39.46.00. Widely used in skincare products, acne treatments, and as a pharmaceutical intermediate.
