Technical grade 3-Hydroxy-α,α,α-trifluorotoluene contains minor impurities but remains a separate chemically defined compound under Chapter 29 note (a). Specifically provided for in HTS 2908.19.15.00 as a halogen-only substituted phenol derivative. Used in large-scale agrochemical production.
