The sodium salt of 4-nitrotoluene-2-sulfonic acid, classified with the parent acid under HTS 2904.99.20.00 per Chapter 29 note 5(C)(1) for inorganic salts of organic acids. Retains sulfonated/nitrated toluene character without changing heading. Used in water-soluble dye formulations.
