Dicyclopentadiene Petrochemical Grade from Japan

Dicyclopentadiene (DCPD, C10H12) is a bicyclic diene dimerized from petroleum-derived cyclopentadiene. Although containing rings, classified under acyclic hydrocarbons (2901) per HTS structure as petroleum-derived unsaturated hydrocarbon. Used in unsaturated polyester resins and EPDM rubber.

Import Tips

Endo/exo isomer specification (typically 85% endo); affects resin reactivity

Distilled vs. crude grade; specify dimer content >95% for pure compound status

Low polymer grade (<1%) required for clean depolymerization to monomer
