n-Hexane (C6H14) is a straight-chain saturated acyclic hydrocarbon isolated from petroleum naphtha via distillation and molecular sieve purification. It qualifies for HTS 2901.10.40.00 as a petroleum-derived saturated hydrocarbon beyond butanes. Widely used as extraction solvent for oils and in adhesive formulations.
