Diphosphorus tetroxide (P2O4), a white hygroscopic solid, serves as a phosphorylating agent. Under HTS 2811.19.61 as an other inorganic oxygen compound of phosphorus, it avoids 2812 carbon-specific halides. Used in flame retardants.
