Products classified under HTS 2520.10.00.00

Natural Gypsum Rock

Raw gypsum ore extracted from natural deposits, primarily calcium sulfate dihydrate in crystalline form. It falls under HTS 2520.10.00.00 as unprocessed gypsum, distinct from calcined plasters or anhydrite. Used as the base material for plasterboard and cement production.

Gypsum Lumps

Crushed gypsum in irregular lump form, minimally processed after mining but not ground or calcined. Classified under HTS 2520.10.00.00 as crude gypsum suitable for grinding into powder or direct use in agriculture. Ideal for soil amendment due to its sulfur content.

Anhydrite Mineral

Natural anhydrite (calcium sulfate without water of crystallization) mined as a rock or powder. Directly covered by HTS 2520.10.00.00 alongside gypsum, used in cement production and as a drying agent. Distinguished from gypsum by lower water content.

Raw Gypsum Powder

Gypsum ore ground into fine powder without calcination or additives. HTS 2520.10.00.00 applies to this unprocessed form used in plaster production, animal feed, and water treatment. Not to be confused with finished plasters.

Agricultural Gypsum Pellets

Pelletized natural gypsum for soil pH adjustment and sulfur supplementation. Remains under HTS 2520.10.00.00 as uncalcined gypsum, valued in farming for improving clay soils. Pelleting is mechanical, not chemical processing.

Construction Grade Gypsum

High-purity gypsum lumps selected for wallboard manufacturing. HTS 2520.10.00.00 covers this crude form before calcining into stucco. Essential raw material for drywall production.

White Hills Gypsum Ore

Premium white gypsum ore from specific deposits like White Hills, Arizona, prized for purity. Falls squarely under HTS 2520.10.00.00 as natural gypsum for high-end plaster applications. Minimal impurities make it ideal for fine plasters.

Land Plaster Gypsum

Coarse-ground gypsum powder known as land plaster for agricultural use. HTS 2520.10.00.00 applies as uncalcined material for soil sulfur supply. Common in Midwest farming regions.

Synthetic Anhydrite Fines

Fine anhydrite powder from industrial byproducts, chemically equivalent to natural but origin differs. Still classified under HTS 2520.10.00.00 if unprocessed anhydrite form. Used in specialty cements.

Flue Gas Desulfurization Gypsum

Synthetic gypsum from power plant emissions scrubbing, chemically identical to natural gypsum. HTS 2520.10.00.00 covers this high-purity dihydrate form for wallboard and agriculture. Increasingly replaces mined gypsum.

Blue Diamond Gypsum

High-grade gypsum from Blue Diamond Mines, Nevada, known for wallboard quality. Unprocessed ore under HTS 2520.10.00.00, shipped in bulk for domestic processing. Renowned for consistent purity.

Calcined-Free Gypsum Aggregate

Crushed gypsum aggregate for concrete admixture, verified non-calcined. HTS 2520.10.00.00 as crude material improving workability. Used in self-leveling compounds.

Pharmaceutical Grade Gypsum

Ultra-pure natural gypsum meeting USP standards before processing. HTS 2520.10.00.00 as crude material for medicinal plasters. Minimal impurities for health applications.

Dentstone Gypsum Rock

Specialty gypsum ore for dental stone production, high strength precursor. Remains HTS 2520.10.00.00 until calcined into alpha hemihydrate. Selected for uniform crystals.

Eco-Friendly Recycled Gypsum

Gypsum recovered from drywall waste, cleaned to natural equivalent purity. HTS 2520.10.00.00 as reprocessed crude gypsum for sustainable building. Verified free of paper/plastics.
