Hard crushed stone, typically basalt or granite sized 1.5-2.5 inches, used as railway ballast to support tracks and facilitate drainage. Meets HTS 2517.10.00 criteria as broken stone for railway ballast applications. Angular shape from crushing prevents shifting under load.
