Rectangular steel blocks with less than 0.25% carbon content and a width less than twice the thickness, used as billets for extrusion of structural tubes. These semi-finished products are produced with high homogeneity through electroslag remelting. The low carbon content facilitates extrusion and subsequent forming processes.
