Phyto-progesterone extracted from wild yam tubers is a natural progestin precursor, processed from diosgenin. Although it may be converted to progesterone, the extract itself is not a steroidal hormone, derivative, or structural analogue of oestrogens or progestogens. Therefore, it does not meet the terms of heading 29.37 and is excluded from this tariff item.
