Choline salicylate is an organic salt formed between salicylic acid and choline, a base. Under Chapter 29 Note 5(C)(2), salts formed between organic compounds are classified in the heading appropriate to the acid or base that occurs last in numerical order, which is salicylic acid in heading 29.18. This solution is used in medicinal oral gels for teething pain relief.
