Potassium Monochloroacetate from Mexico

Potassium monochloroacetate is the potassium salt of monochloroacetic acid, used in specialty detergents and as a buffering agent. Under Chapter Note 5(C)(1), inorganic salts of organic compounds are classified in the heading appropriate to the organic compound. This salt is a halogenated saturated acyclic monocarboxylic derivative.
