Ethyl Chloroacetate from China
Ethyl chloroacetate is the ethyl ester of monochloroacetic acid, used in perfumery and as a solvent intermediate. Chapter Note 5(B) states that esters of ethyl alcohol with acid-function organic compounds are classified in the same heading as the corresponding acid. This ester is a halogenated saturated acyclic monocarboxylic derivative.
