Chloroacetic acid 80% aqueous solution is monochloroacetic acid dissolved in water, a halogenated saturated acyclic monocarboxylic acid. It is used in cellulose ether production. Under Chapter 29 Note 1(d), products of (a) dissolved in water are covered by the chapter, and the acid is specifically named in tariff item 2915.40.00.
