Stabilized Diethyl Ether from Mexico
Stabilized diethyl ether contains a small amount of BHT (butylated hydroxytoluene) added to prevent peroxide formation during storage and transport. This stabilizer is necessary for preservation and is permitted under Chapter 29 note 1(f). The product remains classified as diethyl ether under tariff item 2909.11.00.
