Plutonium-Beryllium Neutron Source from Japan
Plutonium-Beryllium neutron source is an encapsulated combination of plutonium and beryllium that produces neutrons via an alpha-neutron reaction. This product is a mixture containing plutonium, and is therefore covered by tariff item 2844.20.00, which includes mixtures containing plutonium or compounds of these products. It is used for calibration and oil well logging applications.
