Magnesium Bromide Etherate from Germany
Magnesium bromide diethyl ether complex (MgBr2·(Et2O)2) is a Grignard reagent precursor used in organic synthesis. Despite containing an organic ether component, it is classified as a chemically defined bromide of an inorganic base under tariff item 2827.59.00, as organo-inorganic compounds are excluded from Chapter 28 only if they are not mentioned in Note 2 to Chapter 28.
