Cryolite Synthetic from Germany
Synthetic cryolite (Na3AlF6) is a key flux in aluminum production, classified as a fluoroaluminate complex fluorine salt in tariff item 2826.90.00. Unlike natural cryolite, this chemically pure synthetic version meets Chapter 28 Note 1 criteria. It is not excluded by Chapter 28 Note 3 as it is not a metal of Section XV.
