Kieserite evaporite rock consists of kieserite-bearing material from ancient salt deposits, crushed to fist-sized pieces for transport. The crushing is a mechanical process permitted by chapter note 1, and the rock remains a natural magnesium sulphate, classifiable under tariff item 2530.20.00.
