Gneiss Granules from Japan
Gneiss granules, sized 2-4mm, are produced by crushing gneiss metamorphic rock of heading 25.16 and are used in concrete countertops or garden mulch. The crushing and sizing are mechanical processes allowed by Chapter 25 Note 1. They are not heat-treated or mixed, so they are classified as granules of stones of heading 25.16 under this tariff item.
