Short Grain Brown Rice from China

Short Grain Brown Rice is a husked rice variety with plump grains shorter than 5.2 mm, retaining its bran layer for a chewy texture ideal for sushi and sticky rice dishes. As it is not hulled or otherwise worked beyond husking, it qualifies under tariff item 1006.20.00 for husked (brown) rice. The intact bran distinguishes it from milled rice in the same chapter.
